Describe the change, not a guessed illness
Explain what is different from your dog’s normal routine and when it began. Note whether it is occasional, persistent or getting worse. Mention any treatment already given, including products bought without a prescription.
Bring the details that are easy to forget
Write down recent food changes, medicine and earlier visits. Take a short video of an intermittent limp or unusual behaviour if you can do so safely. Do not force your dog to repeat a painful movement for a recording.
Ask whether testing would help
The veterinarian may recommend an investigation after examining your dog. Ask what the test is intended to answer, how to prepare and how the result will affect the next step.
Use a call for urgent availability
If your dog is in immediate distress, do not wait for an online booking reply. Call to check whether the clinic can help now; if unavailable, seek an available veterinary emergency service. Dhaka PetLab is not a 24-hour emergency hospital.
